Audits by Certifying Bodies

A Certifying Body (CB) is an independent organisation that assesses whether an organisation meets the requirements of the CO2 Performance Ladder Handbook. With a positive assessment, an organisation receives a CO₂ Performance Ladder certificate. To perform audits, a CB must be accredited for the Ladder by a national accreditation body. In the Netherlands, the Accreditation Council is responsible for this and in Belgium Belac.
